I used to use Shmessenger in my phone, but I changed my phone to Android OS, now i can't use Shmessenger anymore and can't find any app that is good like Shmessenger even if there're so many app.
I try J2ME runner, but it's not good, lack support.
Will admin develop an Android ver?

Yes, for as far as I know, there will be an Android version. Release date remains unknown though. So, please, be patient.

But opening a poll for that is not a bad idea beause, this way, we can see how many do really need the Android version. So, I'll keep this poll open for further voting and comments.

Hope that day will come soon.

this is a good idea since most of the high end smartphones now comes in android OS!i hope soon it will be available for android!!

Just a few more days and the Android version will become the first priority. This week we will release the new website with full support for themes and a new version of the J2ME app. After that, we will heavily work on the Android version, which is already in the works. It will probably take months to reach a stable version, but development builds will be available until then.

In order to make make this a good app, I need some feedback from you.

Which do you think that are the best and most important features of shMessenger and should exist in the Android version?

It has been a long time since the last time i used shMessenger, but what i love most is the interface, it's simple and convenient to use.
It is best if android ver get all features like Java ver. But if not, I think these things should exist in order :
+ Status updates ( i think it's the best )
+ Sound & vibration
+ Tab for each conversation & buddy list
+ Full smiley
+ Buddy icon & buddy icon upload
+ Invisible & status checking
... ( will have more if you want

I think we need an Android version. Other app is not good. IM+ connects too slow, ebuddy uses a alot of internet data, YM! + ebuddy + IM+ are expensive for the ourdoor users

There is no toolnel.net for android, so we can't have any ways to decrease internet data usage

update:
shMessenger java ver is nearly perfect

- Directly use native editor in chat box (remove vitual keyboard because native one is more familiar)
- Use Direct connect to sh's server, don't use background data like original Yahoo! Messenger

- Smooth and compact UI for the better battery life (IM+ is still laggy in my Sensation)
- Full emotions + option to disable animated emotion
- Option to stop auto-running status (effect battery life)
- Exit button
- Share
- And maybe built-in web browser like iOS version

(not recommended)
- Show the most popular themes from shmessenger.ro (10 or 20)
- Run in background and show notification on status bar with led + sound + vibrate options)

p/s: I haven't study english for 3 years, so my english is not good

i really appreciate shmessenger developer for keep upgrading and making program awesome

because its free it is really rudness to ask shmessenger apk , it will take long time and burn the candles at both sides to make our dream real .

yahoo mesegner for mobile has a great problem and its a lack of simulaneously typing message and readiing posted message

its really annoying and i hope someday we will download shmessenger apk right from this site ..

as i said lack simulaneously typing message and readiing posted message in YM android version really is pain in neck !
as u guys and dear admin saw it , you should enter to typing message and its kind of annoying and u know , intrupt u from chat area

dear admin ,im buyying samsung galaxy ace today , plz make both landscape(full) and vertical(full) keyboard ( i mean like jar segam and touch screen keyboard fit to new wide display mobiles ) for android version .
current version has vertical with awesome touch keyboard but not a landscape and horizental one

this is all i wish be in messegner . u know im spending 3 or 4 hour with shmessenger with my grl friend and always me and she said SHmessenger IS AWESOME and KICKASS

i wish my dream come true . im leaving in iran , if we had a international credit card and could send money over(we are in prohibition as u know ) i will be the first one to financially help to keep shmessegner forever!

I understand your problem with the landscape keyboard. Unfortunately, the input methods are handled by the Android system. As far as I know, there is no way of doing anything about this. Anyway, I suggest that you buy a phone with physical keyboard, if you can.

I recently bought an HTC Desire Z and I'm very happy with it. I will be able to chat in landscape mode without the virtual keyboard.

EDIT:
It seems that there is a way of solving the landscape keyboard "problem", but it's not of great effect, since there is very little space that remains above the virtual keyboard. It will be implemented, though.

I agree, I'm going to buy an android phone so I really hope that SH would have an android version soon
